Microsoft's version of an "Internet Security Suite" (think Norton Internet Security) is now in the final stages of beta and will be going live (paid) in June.
The program offers a decent set of tools, antivirus, backup (which nags when you don't actually do it), and firewall, but do we really trust Microsoft with all those high risk functions?
Probably the most interesting part of this release will be the countermeasures Symantec, Mcafee, and others take to stay alive.
I'm predicting a Symantec-Mcafee merger.
Review: Microsoft OneCare Live Beta 2 - Software -: "Windows OneCare Live is ideal for less-experienced computer users who do not want to be bothered with computer-security issues. It also is a good choice for those with multiple computers because the annual fee of $49.95 (come June) includes installing the software on up to three computers. "
